To Family members and Carers
There has been an invitation from BBC3 to involve carers in an intelligent, sensitive two-part documentary. The aim is to explore the wide variety of issues for young people who have or are involved in using cannabis and the impact that can have on their families and others around them.
The programme will explore how individuals, families, and friends cope when someone they know is using cannabis on a regular basis and feel it is important to get across their experiences, the short and long term impact of living with, or being close to, a cannabis user, particularly when that user is young. In order to give a balanced, well-informed range of perspectives, they would like to get in touch with a range of parents, siblings and friends, as well as the users, if possible, themselves.
If you would like to know more about the documentary and might be willing to talk through your personal experiences then initial contact can be via email or over the phone. This will be done in a non-intrusive and sensitive manner: and at no point would anyone be under the obligation to take part in the programme should they feel uncomfortable.
